Snow and ice fun
The Harz is Germany's northernmost skiing area. Depending on snowfall, several ski slopes open quickly. At the end of our street on Ravensberg, about 2 km from Haus am See, you can enjoy tobogganing. How cool is that..... The ski slopes in Braunlage are, if necessary, improved with artificial snow, so only the right temperature is required. But skiing and snowboarding are not the only kinds of snow fun.....
The recipe against hibernation: visit the Harz!
- 53 ski slopes
- 500 km cross-country skiing trails
- 39 winter toboggan runs
- 6 indoor- en outdoor ice rinks
So start your winter fun in Bad Sachsa.
In addition to the local cross-country trails, this also provides access to the approximately 42-km-long Südharz trail to Bad Lauterberg. It is also the starting point of a 300-metre-long toboggan run.
And what about ice skating..... yes, even in summer! Bad Sachsa has one of the two permanent ice rinks of the Harz in the "Salztal Paradies". The 30m x 45m ice rink is open all year round.
After a long day of fun in the snow, you can enjoy a cup of “glühwein” or “Jägertee” in our cosy Stube.
